Dear Friends,
As you may already know, our committee is once
again getting ready to march up Broadway for the 30th Annual Bayonne St.
Patrick’s Parade. This year our parade will take place on Sunday, March
21ST and will be led by our
2010 Grand Marshal Arthur
Gallagher
Almost as old as our parade is, the post-parade
celebration will be held at St. Mary’s School Hall on 13th Street. The doors
will be open from 2:30-5:00 pm. Admission is $10.00 per person over the age of
16. This unique celebration offers a final salute to the Grand Marshal and his
Aides with bagpipe bands, dancing, food and refreshments. It is also a
wonderful time for parade marchers and spectators to reminisce with old friends
and enjoy an opportunity for the children to enjoy the culture of the
day.
Enclosed is a copy of our last program that is
distributed to each of the 300-400 guests that attended our post-parade party.
Through the sponsorship of these businesses, we can offset some of the expenses
incurred with the parade party. If you have advertised with us in the past, we
hope to have your continued support and always welcome new sponsors. Minimum
space is available at $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00 on a first come, first serve
basis. Corporate sponsors are also available for $250.00.
Our committee is diligently planning every
detail to ensure our 27th parade on March 16th will be another tremendous

In 1981, members of the
community of Bayonne joined together to form a committee for the purpose
of establishing a Parade Committee
to organize, support, and present annually in the month of March, a parade
honoring the Patron Saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.
In March of 1982, after an absence of over 70 years, Bayonne community
members once again formed its first Saint Patrick's Parade.
The four Irish organizations in the City of Bayonne are referred to herein
as the sponsoring organizations. They are:
Ireland's 32
The Irish American League
The County Corkmen's Association
The County Donegal Association
The governing body of the
organization is the steering committee,
from which there are elected officers to direct the activities of the
organization.

From its inception the Bayonne Saint Patrick's Parade is held on the
Sunday which follows Saint Patrick's Day, except when it falls on Saint
Patrick's Day itself. The 2006 parade will be held on Sunday, March 19th.
